After culinary school, Alyson moved to Columbus, GA to take the executive pastry chef position at the RiverMill Event Centre where she worked alongside Jamie Keating, CEC. Her responsibilities included extensive pastry production for all events, assisted in marketing and sales at the local trade shows, wedding coordination, management of the lunch café, on-site and off-site events as well as management of the staff during events. Over the next three years Tyler and Alyson worked side-by-side and dedicated themselves to exceeding client expectations and customer satisfaction. In 2012, Alyson joined the JK Culinary team again in launching EPIC Restaurant where her main responsibilities included overseeing dining room staff and reservations along with closing bank and server checkouts.  Aly's dedication to the art of cooking, coupled with her warm hospitality and love for ministry, promises a unique and delightful experience for all who cross the threshold of Canaan Acres.

Tyler has worked in the culinary/hospitality industry for almost 20 years. He has had the privilege of training under and working alongside some of the nation's top chefs including Iron Chef Michael Symon, Aiden Murphy CMC, Edward Leonard CMC, and Jamie Keating CEC, gold medal winner of the 2008 Culinary Olympics. Due to his hard work and dedication to the culinary industry, Tyler assisted the Culinary Olympic Team in Basel, Switzerland and Luxenberg, Germany. Tyler went on to become the Food and Beverage Director/General Manager of EPIC restaurant, which was awarded five AAA Four Diamond Awards. His management responsibilities included hiring and staff placement, organization of events and staff, purchasing, reservations, menu planning, and off-site event management. Depending on the event, Tyler supervised anywhere from 7 to 50 employees. With a wealth of experience and a passion for culinary excellence, Tyler brings a unique blend of creativity and expertise to every culinary endeavor.
